Francophilia

I consider myself a bit of a francophile. I studied French and German at Uni many moons ago. Whilst my German language usage and capability have atrophied, I try to keep up with my French through an appreciation of French cinema and the occasional holiday.

I feel an affinity with French culture and lifestyle but I wonder how much I could truly pass off as French - am I too much of a gourmand to pass for a gourmet? too reverential towards French culture to be nonchalant?
